Lol no. I also just realize you commented on some of my other paintings so I will give you some more insight to what my paintings mean. I know a lot of artist think explaining their art can take the mystery out of it but what the hell I don't care. I try and create personal symbols for all my paintings(sort of like an emotional map). This painting is a portrait of my bother in law. The lion represtents his pride, warmth, and strength. The statue is his inner self the person that lives in the inner world (the voice in your own head). The painting is a representation of how his drive has sort of taken over and scorched his inner world. So the statue no longer stands in a garden but a fiery waste land, however he is still looking to that other part of himself to get him back to a peaceful place. There are smoke creatures on the side they are hard to see but there is one for each of the people in his family. They are a part of what is going on but more in sprit waiting and hoping for his happiness.
